Newmarket Win 6 preview | 16th April

13.20 British Stallion Studs EBF Novice Stakes

The potent combination of Charlie Appleby and William Buick is in seriously good form, so there’s every chance HALLASAN will prove capable of making a winning debut. His stablemate, AL QUDRA, is the obvious threat under James Doyle. Brian Meehan’s SABRIMENTO can do the best of the rest.

Tips: Hallasan, Al Qudra, Sabrimento

13.50 It’s Never Ordinary At bet365 Handicap

Many of these are in with a chance. However, PRINCE OF PILLO has twice scored over this trip, including in a listed race, and he is very well-handicapped. He could be ready to make a serious impact, while LETHAL NYMPH is back on his last winning mark and ran very well when third at Newcastle last time out.

Tips: Prince Of Pillo, Lethal Nymph

14.20 JRA Handicap

GRAND KARAT made the frame behind some very useful prospects last year, and an opening mark of 80 looks lenient. He should be able to run well, though. BREAK THE BANK comfortably landed the spoils at Kempton three weeks ago and should have more to offer returned to the turf. He can have a say in the argument.

Tips: Grand Karat, Break The Bank

14.55 Mutasaabeq New For 2024 Handicap

This is very competitive, to say the least, but the top weight, BOPEDRO, won this last year and should be raring to go after a couple of spins on the all-weather. He can make a bold bid, while PRENUP made a winning return last season and could make the frame. BENACRE went close on his reappearance at Wolverhampton from this mark and is another to enter the reckoning.

Tips: Bopedro, Prenup, Benacre

15.30 bet365 EBF Conditions Stakes

The Roger Varian-trained BOILING POINT only found Alyanaabi too strong in Group 3 Somerville Tattersall Stakes over C&D when last spotted, and this 2000 Guineas entry should be hard to beat. Dylan Cunha’s EL BUFALO confirmed the promise of his debut second by easily going one better at Wolverhampton and is of interest. He is also entered in the 2000 Guineas.

Tips: Boiling Point, El Bufalo

16.05 Alex Scott Maiden Stake

KIKKULI shaped with a huge amount of promise when second over C&D in November and could be capable of going one place better, with Ryan Moore booked to ride. CREATIVE STORY also shaped promisingly when second on his debut, which has worked out well and is feared most.

Tips: Kikkuli, Creative Story
